Ever cooked with boldness and the end result was Salt? Me I did oh

"Yeh! Mo ku(I'm dead)"πŸ™†.
This was my reaction when I added too much salt because of my cooking anxiety cos I knew it would end up in beating with broom and omorogun!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

If you are a Nigerian, typically you understand what I'm saying. I've discovered how to make life easy and mum won't know. Here's what to do to your food when you noticed dinner is salty. Don't cry oh.

1.) Water
Normally, Every house has enough water. If it's rice, add plenty water, let it cook for a while, sieve it off. Then add another water. Keep on adding water till you are satisfied with the taste. Sebi you will be the one to fetch it back.
If it's soup, add water but don't make it River Niger oh. That's why there's another solution for soups or stew.
2.) Add other ingredients except salt.
Sebi your ingredients still remain? Add the other ingredients. Add Maggi.
3.) Sugar
No house won't have sugar, what will you use to drink garii? Yeah. You can add sugar to the stew. It would balance it. But don't add too much oh. You know how you would cook yam and it would be salty? Add sugar jare.
4.) Irish Potatoes
Yeah. We don't always have it at home but get it handy. If mum ask why, just say for future purposes. But still, potatoes tend to withdraw salt from soup and you don't add one. You slice as much as possible inside the soup or stew. Don't leave it to cook for too long or you won't be able to taste any salt. Then, once it cooks for a while and you tasted the soup, you can remove it.
Note: Don't try everything at once oh. It's not me that advice you. Bhet, I'm sure we have some experts here that have never add too much salt in food. I stan!
