Egg Rolls!!
Good day my people!! Welcome to our family House once again. I really apologise for posting this a day after. We are learning a new form of making egg roll. Though it's the same format still.
INGREDIENTS /RECIPE
Flour - 2 Cups ( 250g )
Egg (1) - beaten
Baking powder- 1 tsp
Salt- 1/4 tsp
Nutmeg-.1/2 tsp
Butter- 2 tbsp
Boiled Eggs - 6
Sugar- 2 1/2 to 3tbsp
Water- 8- 9 tbsp ( Feel free to use either water or milk or you can use both )
THE MAKING
a). In a large bowl, mix together the Flour, Baking powder, Salt, Sugar and Nutmeg.
b). Use your fingers to blend the Margarine into the flour until it’s crumbly.
c). Add the beaten egg and mix together. The dough should look dry at this point.
d). Begin to introduce the water a little at a time and work the dough till dough is soft/stiff and workable.
e). Work the dough for about a minute then cover it and let it rest for about 15 to 20 minutes.
f). Work the dough again for a couple of seconds to a minute and divide it into 6.
g). Tightly wrap each of the dough around each Egg.( the egg must be firmly covered or else it will burst open while frying ).
You can also use a fried scrambled egg instead of a boiled egg. This is an uncommon one that I would like you to try out.
h). Fry on a medium heat turning over and over again until it’s golden brown. *( DEEP FRYING )*
Note:
You may want to add butter, milk, chocolate, butter flavour or butter scotch flavour.
This recipe will give approx. 5egg rolls. If you need it up to 10, simply multiply the recipe by 2.
